Bye Bye

Thank you to all the staff and students who have contributed to making the Sir John School such a success this year! We have all had a fantastic 8 weeks and hope to see you again in future years!

Sir John Pantomime

Congratulations to all students and teachers for their fantastic production this afternoon. In each of the different classes, students learnt a classic fairy tale and then changed some parts to add a special twist. Last night's activity involved the costume design for their outfits which was a huge success as you will be able to see. There were four in total, 3 student plays and 1 staff play.

Here are some photos:

Teacher Paul, our charismatic Master of Ceremonies (one of the 4 dwarfs' is stage smoking-see below)

Mark's class: Little Red Riding Hood

In this tale, the wolf was also the boyfriend of Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother.

Sangseraima's class: Cinderella

Cinderella ended up marrying the "fairy godfather". Also in this tale there was music and dance scenes.

The stepmother, two ugly sister and their father. Ksenia played the narrator.

The happy couples....and the moral of this tale is that "love is blind and causes you to do crazy things"
Paul's class: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Three dwarfs were on holiday and snow white had killer heels (pardon the pun!) which were written into the script.

Teacher's Panto: The Three Little Pigs

Mark as the narrator and Sangseraima as the little piggies

The third little pig in her house made of bricks. The audience tried to huff and puff and blow her house down but it did not work, "not by the hairs on her chinny chin chin". In a twist at the end, the little piggy drew a sword...

London 3

On Saturday we had two different excursion itineraries. Students who had already done the first excursion went to the British Museum and Madame Tussaud's in the afternoon, before taking the London Underground ("the tube") to meet the rest of the students before returning to Cambridge.
