Sir John: Our First week

With a busy start to the week on Sunday, all 42 students arrived safely throughout the day! In the evening they all went to the Main School and got to know each other better over dinner.

On Monday morning, all students took a language test and were sorted into classes and had a walking tour of Cambridge given by their teachers after lunch.

All students went for dinner off site at The University Centre where Studio Sir John makes up the majority of the people using the Granta Lounge-(pictures will follow in future blogs). Mondays evening activity was "Speed Friend Making" followed by a bit of Pictionary which the students really enjoyed, not wanting to move off to speak to the next person after three minutes of chatting because they were enjoying getting to know each other so much!!

Tuesday (yesterday) saw the students have their first full day of lessons with their afternoon lesson on British Culture (so they should all do well in the Quiz night on Thursday!) In the evening, they went bowling and then on to the weekly "Studio Disco".

Estelle and Maria were very surprised when they were presented with cakes in class for their birthdays. They all shared it out with their friends and some of the staff were lucky enough to receive a slice-Thank you!
