This weekend

Friday was the last day at school for just one of our students with the rest staying for at least one more week. Due to the early start on Saturday morning, the Saturday activity was much more relaxed with students watching movies in the residences. The two films were The Hangover and the first Pirates of the Caribbean.

On Saturday we went on the first Sir John Excursion of the summer to Stratford and Warwick Castle. We arrived at Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, in the morning and after a short walking tour, students had the chance to explore for themselves.

 In the afternoon, we went to Warwick Castle where students had free time to explore the historic castle whilst enjoying the lovely weather we had (it was the hottest day of the year in Britain so far this year).

In the stocks......

We took the coach back to Cambridge in the late afternoon to arrive in time for dinner. In the evening, our activity was 'Mini Olympics' which included football, ultimate frisbee, relay races and a sac race (unfortunately not an Olympic sport yet good fun nonetheless!)
