Wednesday and Thursday's Activities

Wednesday night's activity was a Club night at Ballare, in the centre of Cambridge. Students enjoyed a dance with other international students at various summer schools in Cambridge.

On Thursday's, there are no lessons after lunch and so students have a bit of extra free time. For students who wanted to go, we put on an extra activity to Grantchester (a small town to the south of Cambridge) which is approximately an hour's walk away along a country path. This long walk is rewarded when getting to the Orchard, a garden with many trees and deck chairs where the students got to try the quintessentially English Cream Tea. Cream tea is generally served as a cup of tea with a scone on which you put jam and clotted cream. There is often debate amongst connoisseurs as to whether the jam or the cream should go on the scone first. What do you think?

On Thursday evening, students had the chance to design their own tshirts. As this week's theme is 'Free time and the Olympic sports', they were asked to design a sports tshirt for their country which they would be able to use for Saturday nights activity. Can you guess what that will be?
